Víctor Mazón Gardoqui


Victor Mazón Gardoqui (Cantabria, 1982), Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country UPV-EHU. He works as Assistant Professor in the Experimentelle Technologien im Kunstkontext at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (HGB-Leipzig) since 2009.

His artistic practice is defined between experimentation and realization of concepts and devices reagents to its environment, (un)stable systems and editorial processes, questioning the limits of perception, altered States and vulnerability.

He works mainly with light, sound and electronics, using audiovisual activities in public spaces, media interventions and collective work processes.

His work is formalised in three areas: the one developed at festivals or concerts where he shows different sound experimentation processes through actions, obstructions or performances; the exhibition, inside museums or galleries, which shows results – finished processes – and the educational/collaborative, through workshops and seminars where research and cooperation are encouraged with attendees.
