Victor Mazón takes part in “Espacio Enter” International Festival of Creativity, Innovation and Digital Culture with his work LIMEN

Victor Mazón has been selected for the fifth edition of the International Festival of Creativity, Innovation and Digital Culture, Espacio Enter Canarias, with the work LIMEN, belonging to the project :// Meeting held from November 30 to December 1 at the headquarters of TEA (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes).

LIMEN amplifies and demodulates electromagnetic activity into audible ranges, exposing high frequency ranges produced by wireless devices overused in contemporary societies. This electromagnetic pollution is used by :// as an impulse to modify the acoustic space with audio visual performances, printed matter, lathe cut vinyl in different formats, objects, publications and pedagogic strategies. Through the process, several experiments have been produced ranging from the amplification of electromagnetic activity produced by wireless cameras attached to a balloon to the amplification of microwaves, computer based applications to visualize data traffic and public performances.

LIMEN is an electronic device designed by :// to de-codify electromagnetic pollution produced by wireless networks. An analog and battery-operated receiver based on AD8313 IC able to amplify and demodulate frequency ranges between 0.1 GHz to 2.5 GHz produced by wireless based networks.

Espacio Enter is an International Meeting for all sectors related to digital culture and art, showing ideas and technological innovations that will allow us to shape our future. The exhibition is presented with the aim of promoting the development of the connection between science, innovation, technology and art, to build a Knowledge Society.

Artechmedia, non-profit international cultural organization directed by the artists Montse Arbelo and Joseba Franco, has created the project. Its aims are the creation, organization, promotion and direction of different activities that promote Arts, Innovation and Digital Culture.
